May Monthly Meeting featuring Joe DeLoss - Hot Chicken Takeover

  • Thu, May 10, 2018
  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • The Boat House

Joe DeLoss is building a fried chicken empire by changing perspectives on HR and workforce development. His current adventure, a restaurant chain called Hot Chicken Takeover, provides meaningful employment to men and women impacted by incarceration. With rapid expansion underway, Joe anticipates creating 200 meaningful jobs by 2018.

Though his professional career began as an investment banker, he quickly gained traction as an entrepreneur committed to sustainable community impact. Most notably, he demonstrated this commitment with the launch of Freshbox Catering for Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio in 2009. Since, Joe has built a reputation as an impactful serial entrepreneur, consultant, and advisor across multiple start-ups in the social enterprise ecosystem.

Joe speaks frequently on HR, social enterprise, and entrepreneurship. He’s also served as an adjunct instructor at the Fisher College of Business and the John Glenn School of Public Affairs and has maintained seats on several local boards.
