It’s a NAWBO Columbus annual event - our December Health & Wellness Expo. We’re taking the last month of the year to focus on YOU, with a panel of health and wellness experts ready to share their tips, tricks and advice for creating a healthy and resilient mind, body and spirit. 

This year our panel will address topics like mindfulness, nutrition, movement, emotional health and more; come learn how living well not only impacts lives at home but also the workday and our experiences in the work environment. Look forward to an interactive discussion around simple actions that yield powerful results in both your personal and professional life.

In addition to our panel of leading experts, local businesses, members and Corporate Partners will feature their products and services, all designed to help you become your very best self by living healthier in every aspect of your life.

About the Panel:

Moderator: Katy Tombaugh,   Wellness Collective


As founder of Wellness Collective, Katy contributes over 17 years of leadership and consulting experience to the workplace wellness field. She is very passionate and enthusiastic in her approach to leading organizations toward a culture of wellness. 

A driven entrepreneur, Katy values professional development and continuing education for herself and the Wellness Collective team. You will always find Katy in the classroom as a teacher and a student. She is proud to have been named Microentrepreneur of the Year in Health & Wellness by the INCREASE Community Development Corporation in 2015.

Panelists

Elizabeth Alden, LSW, LMTElizabeth Alden, LMT

Elizabeth Alden is a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Massage Therapist. She earned her MA from University of Delaware and MS from The Johns Hopkins University. Elizabeth has more than 30 years experience in the social work and counseling fields. Through her practice, she offers therapeutic and nurturing message therapy that allows clients to relax, unwind, de-stress and find their way back to a natural stance of being calm and grounded. For Elizabeth, massage is therapy for the mind, the body and the spirit. She is able to address her client's unique issues through various massage, healing and subtle energy techniques. 

Amanda Crichton, Fulcio

Amanda Crichton is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and emphasizes emotional health and the Health At Every Size principles. She is the founder of Fulcio, a nutrition and emotional wellness company that offers nutrition coaching, online group programs, and local events in Columbus, Ohio. Fulcio is Latin for support and the vision for the company is to help others feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to make their own choices.With her nutrition background and unique life experiences, Amanda started Fulcio to helping others find balance within their life, specifically with emotional eating and body image concerns. In her spare time, Amanda loves writing/working from cafes, practicing yoga, learning about mindfulness, planning events, and listening to others life stories.

Pia Fitzgerald, Baobab Village Wellness Group

Pia Fitzgerald has served in education for over 20 years in a variety of leadership roles while working part-time in the fitness industry. While climbing the career ladder and managing her family, Pia rode the weight loss roller coaster. In 2008, she made the mental, emotional, and spiritual shift necessary to permanently lose weight. Pia happily serves as owner of Baobab Village Wellness Group, a wellness practice that develops clients through creative, playful, purposeful, counseling, coaching, and training. She takes pleasure in helping others implement a transformation plan that moves beyond existence and survival to living life well!

Anna Schott, RYT-200, LISW-S, Renew Wellness

As owner of Renew Wellness, Anna Schott believes that real change comes from connecting the mind, body, and spirit utilizing a variety of holistic modalities and interventions. Anna is a LISW-S and earned her Masters in Social Work and Masters of Arts in Public Policy and Management through The Ohio State University. She utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), FSAP (Feeling State Addiction Protocol), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Therapy, and DBT (Dialectic Behavior Therapy). Anna is a Certified EMDR Therapist and an Approved Consultant through the EMDR International Association as well as an EMDR trainer. Anna has been a mental health professional for over fifteen years, working individuals with trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, and addiction. In addition to her background in mental heath, Anna is also a yoga teacher (RYT-200) and uses yoga in association with therapy as a way to help individuals discover their best self.

Registrations must be paid in advance.

A late fee will be charged after 12:00 pm on the Monday preceding the Meeting.

Cancellations made after 5:00 pm on the Monday prior to the Meeting will not be refunded.

Special Notes:

Are you a new member or a first time guest? Stick around after the meeting to attend the Huddle, where you can learn more about the benefits of NAWBO Columbus and how you can get more involved! Huddle is from 1:15pm - 1:45pm and takes place in the same room as our luncheons.

Registrants agree to the NAWBO Columbus photography release unless they have otherwise notified the communications committee.

All special dietary and meal requests must be submitted with your registration by the registration deadline. We regret that we can not provide alternative meals or substitutions that are requested at the luncheon.
