About the panel:


Representative Kristin Boggs, House District 18 

Rep. Boggs is a dedicated public servant and an advocate for a strong public education system, economic opportunity for working people and a fair and compliant election process. She is committed to being a strong voice for Ohio’s working class by fighting for fair wages and economic security, and her passionate advocacy work extends to important issues such as voting rights, affordable education and domestic violence.  

After graduating from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Boggs joined the Office of the Ohio Attorney General, serving as an assistant attorney general for nearly 10 years. In the Attorney General’s office, Boggs assisted some of Ohio’s most vulnerable populations in recovering from crimes of financial exploitation and physical abuse.    

Along with her extensive background in public service, policy and legal issues, Boggs has served as a board member for the American Constitution Society since 2010, she volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Franklin County, and she was a working committee member of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association 2013 Leadership Institute. 

Boggs represents the 18th House District, which consists of Columbus, Bexley, Grandview Heights and parts of central Franklin County.


Sarah LeeEssentia Strategy Group, LLC

Working with both public and private entities Sarah S. Lee, Principal of Essentia, is a recognized diversity compliance leader in public transportation and infrastructure projects. A licensed attorney in the State of Ohio and former DBE program manager for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Ms. Lee brings a unique level of knowledge and experience to each of her projects. 


Rachel G. WinderNAWBO Columbus Public Policy Advisor, Government Relations Manager Benesch Law

Rachel Winder has over 20 years’ experience with the executive and legislative branches of Ohio governmentMost recently, Rachel directed state government relations on behalf of a telecommunications company, She is and has been a staunch advocate on behalf of both her public and private sector clients throughout her career. Rachel has received excellent results for her clients including legislative and regulatory solutions resulting in millions of dollars to benefit multiple Fortune 500 corporations. She also successfully advocated for major statutory reforms on behalf of a statewide officeholder.

 Mikaela Hunt is an award-winning journalist that spent nearly 17 years in TV news, working in every seat from producer to anchor with her last stop on NBC 4 Today for seven years as the morning co-anchor. Mikaela Media, a brand journalism company that tells stories through video and written content and shares them online. She also the co-host of Cbuzz, a podcast for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce that highlights business innovators in Central Ohio. In early 2018, she started co-hosting "What Matters with Mindy & Mikaela" - a live radio program and podcast for Central Ohio families on 610 WTVN and iHeart radio.
